Clan Magistrates

The position of Clan Magistrate is granted by the family or clan daimyo. Their duties are similar to that of the Emerald Magistrates except that their jurisdictions differ. They are expected to uphold law and dispense justice within the clan boundaries and all crimes that occur within their lands fall to Clan Magistrates. However, some crimes are so heinous that they require a higher authority to deal with them; crimes that violate Imperial Law such as the practice of maho or crimes that are Empire-wide in scope fall to the Emerald Magistrates to deal with.

The current Clan Magistrate for Toshi Ranbo and the surrounding region is Doji Hideo of the Crane Clan.
