Isawa Bin

Isawa Bin is a shugenja of the Phoenix Clan. Formerly a Clan Magistrate, he entered and excelled in the Tournament of Fukurokujin, thereby winning himself the position of Emerald Magistrate in Toshi Ranbo.

In his short tenure in the city he has become betrothed to the beautiful and talented Isawa Toshiko, become a merchant patron in business with Shosuro Ayumi and made an enemy of the Lion Clan Hatamoto, Ikoma Ujiaki.

At the recent Battle of Mamoru Kyotei Toshi he was the judge appointed by The Emperor to determine the victor of the day's conflict. His decision to back the Crane Clan's victory despite the use of dishonourable tactics has won him no favours with the already hostile Lion Clan.
