Miya Katsumi

Miya Katsumi was born into the Phoenix Clan and trained at the Shiba Tenjin (Illusionist) shugenja school and used her illusions to entertain and delight the samurai at her clan's courts.

After being married to a Miya Shisha (Herald) who she loves deeply, her view of the world changed. Her husband's duty took him to all corners of the empire where he saw a lot of suffering and injustice. Katsumi became unsatisfied simply using her gift to commune and command the kami to entertain the privileged she swore to use her talents for good. Isawa Toshiko, having met Katsumi at Shiro Gisu, then arranged for Katsumi to work with Isawa Bin, Emerald Magistrate to Toshi Ranbo Toshiko's betrothed, as a doshin.
